Before working with Agent Dynamics, we were churning through staff and were spending a lot of money on recruitment. I felt like I didn’t have the right people doing the right tasks or the right people in the right roles.
So, I thought, fantastic, I'll get in touch with Agent Dynamics and see what they can do for our sales team, particularly my business unit. After speaking with Julie and Neil, I had a greater understanding of how it would benefit the business. We made the decision to profile every division and department in our business and everyone starting in the business, so we could get the right people in the right roles. I must say we were just churning through people and we had some staff clashes. When recruiting candidates’ competencies just weren't where they said they were on their CV’s and when we put them in a role, we found it to be quite a different story, particularly in property management.
We found that we had property managers playing dress ups, wanting to be the manager and boss people around, rather than having more of a process driven approach and competencies to do that role.
We saw benefits right away. With everyone now profiled, we could understand firstly what our profile types and our key behaviours were. We then asked are they a match for their roles that they are doing on a day-to-day basis?
We were able to shift around a couple of tasks for different profiles so they could slot in and be a lot more effective, and this positively affected the energy levels inside the business. A task like say events, can drain some profile’s energy significantly, where another profile type will eat that up, love it and get lots of energy from it. So, there was massive benefit profiling everyone right across the business.
Before Agent Dynamics we were paying recruitment companies at least $50,000 a year to do our recruitment. And, of course, we would expect them to pre-qualify and interview people. Quite frankly that just wasn't happening, and it cost the business in a big way. Not only the recruitment costs but also the cost of property management contracts going out the door.
Since profiling our whole business, we haven't had any loss in retention. We’ve got a hundred percent stability inside of the business, and it really does assist us in moving forward.
Using the Agent Dynamics Profiling System to recruit means we can take on someone that suits our current team that’s in place, making sure that we can get the right fit inside so that we can build on our strong foundation.
I would say that it's probably one of the best team workshops we've done inside of our company in its whole history. Everyone loved it, we had a lot of fun with each other, but everyone took it seriously, and we work so much more successfully together.
